Booklist – August
The books we read as children and young adults stay with us all our lives. We all have memories of the first books we read independently. We remember sitting in the classroom listening to our teachers read out loud in class. Or maybe you remember the special books that your parents or grandparents shared. The stories and the characters helped us believe in ourselves and filled our world with enchantment and imagination. But we lose that somehow. In his book The Little White Bird, J.M. Barrie said, “The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it. The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply that they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.” We hope the titles below will help you rediscover some of the magic and remember you can fly!
