Changes in the USPS Process for Package Pick-up

Since the Pandemic, the United States Postal Service (USPS) has instituted new policies for pickup of packages such as braille and digital books due to staff shortages, turnover, and seasonal workers.  Pick-ups must now be scheduled through the use of an online form. We encourage you to seek out assistance from family and friends to initiate this step, if needed. Our Readers Advisor may be able to assist you to make pick-up arrangements if you don’t have computer/internet access.

To request a pickup they may visit https://tools.usps.com/schedule-pickup-steps.htm or call 800-ASK-USPS (800-275-8777). You can also call this number to help resolve any pick-up issues.

Please note that USPS can change procedures/Hours of Operation at any time. Check with the local Post Office and/or online for any updates.
