Volunteer - Book Inspectors
This service is particularly appreciated by patrons because it ensures that patrons will be able to complete their reading of a book without any "technical difficulties." The volunteer responsibilities include:
- Checking each cassette book to determine if it needs repair.
- Rewinding each cassette as needed.
- Evaluating each container to be certain it is intact.
- Putting each cassette in numerical order so that the first tape is on the top.
Between two and four volunteers report to the library five days a week to inspect all the outgoing books on cassette. If you are interested in this volunteer project it is preferred that you be available the same day and time each week.
