Searching for Descriptive Videos
Find out which videos are available through the Descriptive Video Catalog. Call or e-mail the library to receive one. Or you may look in the Online Catalog-KLAS to see which videos are available.
To Search for a specific title: In "Basic search," type the name of the movie in the "search for" space. In the Search Options area, you may limit your search by "Media", and select "Descriptive Video." Submit your search.
To Search for an actor or actress: Go to "Advanced Search." In Criteria 1, choose "title" and type in "video." In Criteria 2, choose "Annotation" and type in the name of the performer (EX: Tom Hanks). In the Search Options area, limit your search by "Media", and select "Descriptive Video." Submit your search.
To Search for all available videos: Under Criteria 1, choose "title" then type in "video." In the Search Options area, limit your search by "Media", and select "Descriptive Video."
To Search for a specific film rating: Go to "Advanced Search." In Criteria 1, choose "title" then type in "video." In Criteria 2, choose "Annotation" and type in "rated G" (or rated PG, PG13, R, or Not Rated). In the Search Options area, limit your search by "Media", and select "Descriptive Video." Submit your search.
