The availability of downloadable Library of Congress produced digital audio books has been opened to active patrons of the library who have aquired their own digital talking book player.

The Victor Reader Stream is the first such player and costs about $329. This machine can be purchased from HumanWare www.humanware.com/en-usa/home or call toll-free 800-722-3393,

Once you have the player you will need the following:

1. A computer connected to the internet for downloading books,
2. High-speed internet service such as DSL or cable, and
3. An active email address
